Karin Yew

Karin joined Stann as a Paralegal in 2025.

Karin is gaining experience across Stann Singapore LLP’s practice, working closely with lawyers and mariners in Singapore and London while pursuing a Bachelor of Laws degree at the Singapore University of Social Sciences.

At Stann, Karin has worked on a range of dry shipping and casualty matters. She has assisted with general average recoveries and collision matters, including issues relating to liability, quantum, and costs. Karin has also assisted with evidence collection in casualty incidents and incident investigations alongside the firm’s lawyers and mariners, gaining first-hand exposure to the legal and technical issues arising from such matters.

With prior experience as a litigation paralegal in Singapore law firms, she has supported legal teams in a wide range of matters. Beyond her legal work, Karin is an active member of the SUSS Law community, contributing to student initiatives as a founding member of the SUSS Law Students’ Group.

Karin is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and proficient in Cantonese.
